Last night, the networks basically handed over their ratings to FOX. Although American Idol is normally a sure thing, the show lucked out with a plate of reruns.

Truth in TV: Can Anyone Win Big?
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Games, Prime Time, Reality, FOX, Gossip,
Eight juicy episodes have been watched by millions, and the promos for the show just keep coming. I must admit, FOX’s The Moment of Truth is truly a guilty TV pleasure and I’m entranced the entire time the show is on the screen. But after seeing so many come and go, one question remains: can anyone win big on this show?
It all sounds so very simple. You sit down and answer questions - truthfully - as family and friends (oh yeah, and the live studio audience and the millions of home viewers) look on. Answer 21 of them without telling a fib, and you’ll walk away half a million bucks richer. And yet, no one has done it. In fact, no one has even come close to doing it.
Why? The show uses a polygraph, commonly called the lie detector, to determine which questions will be asked. Prior to taping, contestants get strapped in and asked at least fifty different questions. From this pool, twenty-one of those questions are selected. Polygraph results, to this day, are highly controversial. Statistics show that these machines are not 100% accurate - more like 80%, depending on the amount of questions asked. This means that far fewer than half (50%) of the contestants on The Moment of Truth will be completely free of polygraph error during their rounds of questioning.

MONDAY (2/25)
- A Raisin in the Sun (ABC, 8pm): Diddy and the rest of his Broadway cast bring the play to the small screen. I’m sorry - I believe his theater name is Sean Combs.
- The Moment of Truth (FOX, 8pm): Special night. Apparently this episode is so controversial, the producers debated airing it. Then they realized what network they were on and just went with it.
- Welcome to the Captain (CBS, 8:30): “Hope makes some new friends so she won’t be alone on Friday nights.” Their names? Jack and Daniels.
- Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious (CW, 9pm): “The women receive a surprise visit from JC Chasez.” They, too, are wondering why he doesn’t have anything better to do.

Reality News: ‘Moment of Truth’, ‘Apprentice’, ‘Bachelorette’, ‘Supernanny’
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Games, Kids, Prime Time, Reality, ABC, FOX, NBC, Apprentice, The - Donald, The Bachelor, Renewals,
Now that The Moment of Truth has successfully breezed through its two-week trial run, the show is being rewarded with a nice bonus. FOX - apparently believing the reality show’s gimmick won’t tire quickly - has added on another 13 episodes to its initial 12-pack order. (I’m guessing it was the program’s stellar debut that instilled the network with such confidence.)
Although a list of potential seatwarmers dwindled after the show’s first two airings (seems the attention seekers weren’t too thrilled about what they had seen), other ballsy contestants will be stepping up. Production on the additional segments will begin on Feb. 11th.
Just when you think the Trumpster is down and out, he just keeps coming back for more.
Even though his ‘recruitment’ show once faced cancellation, it’s had a reversal of fortune and now been granted an extension. Impressive numbers for Celebrity Apprentice has made NBC think twice about letting Donald Trump and the reality staple go too soon. (No rush decisions should ever be made during a writers’ strike.) Come this time next year, we will be seeing a second round of stars vie for credibility and airtime.
Seriously, a boardroom full of D-listers is really the only thing that keeps viewers attracted to the show these days. It’s not like anyone really believes The Apprentice winners do anything for Trump’s organization anymore.
